How to calculate how much paint you need

Most interior paints cover 350–400 square feet per gallon. Measure your wall area (length × height for each wall), subtract doors and windows (about 20 sq ft per door, 15 sq ft per window), then divide by the coverage rate. Always add 10% extra and plan for two coats on most projects.
